RAN Site Engineer
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented RAN MW Site Engineer to support the installation, integration, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of Radio Access Network (RAN) and Microwave (MW) equipment for telecommunications projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on field experience in telecom site deployment and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform installation, integration, commissioning, and acceptance of RAN and Microwave (MW) equipment.
Conduct site surveys and assess site readiness before equipment deployment.
Install and configure telecom equipment, including antennas, Remote Radio Units (RRUs), Baseband Units (BBUs), Indoor Units (IDUs), and Outdoor Units (ODUs).
Perform microwave antenna alignment and ensure optimal signal quality.
Execute testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of RAN and MW equipment.
Coordinate with Network Operations Center (NOC), project managers, subcontractors, and customers during implementation activities.
Prepare site documentation, technical reports, punch lists, and acceptance reports.
Ensure all installation activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and company safety policies.
Resolve technical issues encountered during site implementation and provide timely updates to project stakeholders.
Support network modernization, upgrades, optimization, and equipment migration activities as required.
Maintain proper inventory and accountability of tools and equipment assigned for field operations.
Perform other duties related to telecom site implementation as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related engineering course.
Licensed Electronics Engineer (ECE) is an advantage but not required.
At least 2–5 years of experience in telecom field operations, RAN implementation, or microwave transmission projects.
Knowledge of GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G RAN technologies.
Familiarity with microwave transmission systems, antenna alignment, and backhaul technologies.
Ability to interpret telecom drawings, network diagrams, and installation plans.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
